It’s nearly 2019, so its time to reflect on the year that was 2018. Right now I feel it wasn’t as creative as it could haver been but when I look back, I actually achieved a lot of things.
Firstly, I am very proud of the fact that I’ve done over 20 poetry performances since the release of my debut poetry collection Original Soundtrack in March. I also managed to write three new collections.
I entered 3 writing competitions in 2018. I came runner-up in the Crossing the Tees Short Story competition. I also came runner-up in a competition run by Jericho Writers. The third one is the Jhalak Prize, so I’ve got my fingers crossed on that one – they announce the winner in February.
2019 will see me take up tap-dancing (again), doing an hour of spoken word / poetry somewhere, writing a screenplay and finding a publisher for my crime novel.
