Dominic JP Nelson-Ashley is firmly established as a spoken-word artist who delivers consistently electrifying performances.

His poetry has been commissioned by the BBC. He has performed at the World’s longest running online literary festival. He has appeared on ITV discussing the impact of the Windrush Generation, Black Lives Matter and the power of Education.

He has been a guest lecturer at Teesside University and he is currently editing ‘Our Place, Our History’ – The Anthology of Black British Northern-based poets.

His work frequently tackles the issues of fatherhood, chat up lines, role models, celebrity culture, mental health and spending his teenage years in a Middle England town.
